Between a Cracka and A Crackhead!!!

Yeah i said it!!! I live in harlem and talk about extremes! I live on 115th street and right on 115th street there is Kalahari House, the latest "green" creation by real estate developers for upper class folks ( meaning: CRACKA). and then right across the street are King Towers, the projects; where i live... shit brown buildings, petty drug dealers, old people being "look outs" for them and a constant flow of people in an out of the building. as if folks don't already know that people are dealing drugs from their homes!!! at king towers we have old,dirty, pissy elevators, and rotten, uneducated-ass mofos breaking the locks on the building door so that these fucking crackheads can get in, buy, smoke and take the biggest shit right in the stair case! That's right... on your way down the stairs in the morning you gotta watch your step!! damn shame!!!!! Let's not forget the lazy folks who would rather let the garbage pile up in their apartments for three days and then drag it downstairs only to deposit it right in front of the building sign that states garbage should not be left in front of the building! I guess it's too hard to walk a few steps down the hall and put it down the garbage chute!
juxtapose this with the ever increasing number of white folks moving to harlem, casually walking up and down lenox as if the whole world is theirs and we colored folks only exist in terms of their "have" to our 'have not." All these condos are the city's version of gated communities. you see crackas go in, and go out. You don't really see them ensconsing themselves within the existing communities, at all! You seem them jogging to and from central park in the mornings and early evenings and some of them casually pushing the latest baby stroller carrying the next generation of entitlements!
So we got these crackeads who don't give a fuck about the good working, progressive, upstanding colored folks in the hood and then you have crackas who don't give a shit about me or the bottom of the barrel vermin that lives in the projects right along with me!
I swear it's tough out here for educated,bourgie, progressive people of color. The expectations and stereotypes practically work against each other, leaving me, and i'm sure others like me, wondering where the hell do we fit in!
So i say fuck the crackas and fuck the crackheads! The world would be a better place without either one!
And yeah I'm conflating shit....Who gives a Rat's Ass!!!!!

Today....

Feels like Fall: my favorite time of the year! I can't explain it with many words but this sense of cocooning and seeking heat makes me warm and sated all over! Fall is a time to harvest what you've done until now and begin to go inside and delve into those deep parts of you that seek acknowledgement and seek awareness. Fall is a time to gather yourself and slow down and take a breathe and assert "All is good!"
It is a new beginning for me....This time of the year is about reflecting on purpose and setting a new agenda for the coming year. Everything feels so alive! I feel the pulse of life: it just goes underground, that's all. But if you put your ear to the ground, you can hear it; You can feel it!
Life is good.....God is good.

Yes-yes-yall!!! Check it...let folks know that they must register to vote. Here in NYC you can get an application at just about any city agency, fill it out and then mail it in....free postage!
Then, the work starts! Tell everyone you know that Obama is the best choice for president and to vote for him! There's no way in hell I'm going to live four more years with amoral folks at the helm of our government!

A Note On White Privilege

Wow... whites in this country don't trust obama, think he's inexperienced, and that he represents some satanic ploy to paganize (or is it colorize?) america and flush it down into the firepits of oblivion!

it's clear that whites are comfortable with a half dead old white geezer being president along with the support of a white woman to literally hold his ass up! well, maybe they're a little more comfortable with it. i guess they think in the end a white woman will pick her race over her gender. classic plantation politics! it's becoming clear to me that white america is frightened at the prospect of having a black man as president. this white supremacist ideology is alive and well amongst those who espouse "country first" and those who espouse undying, unconditional, support of america's efforts to keep "freedom free" and of the deployment of such ideals across the globe, unilaterally!
it's this ingrained deep-running bile that made my father say "Fuck America!" back in the 60's and 70's and (shit) continues to say it even now!
I'm all for fighting for our freedom and our rightful place in america, but i can't help but think- Fuck It! they ain't shit! let them have it! cuz it ain't much to have without the efforts and struggles and support of blacks and other folks of color in amerikkka. what they got is because of US! the struggle is to look white america in the face and say we ain't down with your ass!
keep your false promises- i refuse to live for amerikkka. and as long as blacks keep fighting to be included we will be at the mercy of THEM....

PS...what do WE really want to be included in? who's def of inclusion are we really giving credence to as we fight the good fight?

Palin, Teenage Pregnancy and White Supremacy...

Well! how about that?! Palin's 17 year-old daughter is a few months pregnant and will be marrying the baby's daddy! All this to dispel the rumor that Palin's 5 month-old child is not her son, but really her daughter's.
hmmmmmm...now i'm beginning to wonder if the repubs were a bit too hasty in choosing the vp nominee. or is this a litmus test for how dumb ( and racist) americans really are? then again the repubs with rove on their side are some sneaky ass mofos, and i know they're spinning this to their hearts content because whites in this country haven't and will never hold blacks and whites to the same standards. they're going to use this as an opportunity to humanize the pro-life stance, and deflect any criticsm coming from the dems. this can neutralize all attempts by obama and his crew to discredit and beat back white supremacy. but then again, the obama campaign ain't been one to flex obama's blackness and support causes that engage institutional ,as well as ,individual racism in the spirit of american unity and in unifying support to heal the wounds of the present as well as of the past. YEAH, OBAMA SUPPORTERS... I SAID IT!!

Presidential Election Thoughts....

The Repubs ain't to be slept on! By picking Palin, a woman and little know governor of alaska, the pubs are pretty much letting the dems know that whatever they don't follow through on the pubs are more than ready to come back and upshow them! the Democratic party made a bad strategic move by picking an all male ticket. If they really wanted unity, and this includes the obama and hillary factions, along with the other lesser known factions in the dem party, they would have and should have picked a woman...and yeah the white woman woulda done! Shit they would have done fine had they picked sebelius as obama's running mate. but i guess she's too much of a feminist! thinking that it's a dirty word, them dems dropped the ball on this one and the repubs were more than happy to pick it up.
i vehemently disagree that black women and other women of color have gained nothing from the white american woman's feminist movement. and i'm dismayed at too many black women liberals, radicals and progressives who have a bone to pick with white women over some historical plantation shit which they chose to air out now and which invariably has all of them fighting over crumbs while black men are consorting with white men- you know- the real power holders in this country. in case you're not clear on this- just look at the subtle frumpification of michele obama over the four days of the convention. not to mention the increased constipated look on her face culminating with her coming on stage wearing a hideous dress with funky ass flats! her man just accepted the democratic party's nomination and she comes out looking like that?!
Y'all betta put down the kool-aid and start asking the right questions.

Go 'Head Hillary!!!!

Now mind yall....I didn't vote for Hillary in the New York Democratic Primary. I was caught up in the "Obama black man" wave and voted for...you guessed it , the black man!
Yet, this evening's speech by Hillary Clinton shows the power this woman wields. And more importantly, isn't afraid to wield! She strutted her stuff on the stage and did what she had to do to push the party on. Now I'm not that naive; I know she played the role she was given. But, she did it with such force and determination. She hit it out of the ball park! I think what I appreciate most about her is that she's a seasoned politician and knows how to play the game to get what she wants, whether it's today or some where down the line in the future. Miss thang ain't giving up a damned thing! She is a powerhouse in the party and will continue to be so. Face it...Obama needs her more than she needs him right about now.
