Spoke with a friend reading The Secret. I remember when i read it a few years ago. Meditate on what you want and think that you already have it and it will happen as such. if it doesn't then you didn't manifest as hard as you shoud have. you did something wrong: something was missing. and now you have to look at this and analyze every little step and see what you did to attract the outcome that you weren't intending! all this analyzing over the minutiae can be time consuming. and then when you finally find the viral link...you heal it, purge it, i don't know...fix it?! and all will come your way...isn't that special!

Fuck the box....

I wanna get out !! All this inside the box or outside the box. I don't want to play with the box anymore. fuck the box....life ain't no box. there is no inside the box nor outside the box. you don't have to live or think inside the box or outside the box. just live...damn!

Tea Party

Tea Party= Racists.
Eight years of Bush and not a peep. 3 months of a Black Man with a STRONG pimp hand and they're showing their teeth. The blatancy of their racism just proves to me that Whites in America will do anything, and couch it in any form, and grab at any straws, to hold on to power that was ill-gotten on the backs and the sweat of slaves. While those founding fathers were throwing tea into Boston Harbor in protest of monarchical control, my ancestors were THEIR property; THEIR slaves. They were definitely not benefactors of the American Revolution. My ancestors were their means to economic, political and social mobility and control. So much for freedom and rights, and the "will of the people."
My peeps ain't had shit to do with that tea party and most definitely ain't got shit to do with this one.
BTW...when i received the "phone call" to alert me of the tea party, i immediately call my disco buddies to find out who was throwing this party and where...Needless to say they were as clueless as i was. Funny thing is all i had to do was turn on the TV and see this was not my kind of party.

Anger....

is stressful. It's what I feel right now. I'm trying to channel it into something positive. However, it's difficult to do. I think i'll just sit with it for a while and make it my friend. Sometimes anger is what one needs to push one over the top and and into full motion....

And Another Thing!!!

Why is it that people qualify a statement with "I'm not defending what he/she said, but he/she has a right to their opinion." In a graduate level classroom???? What this student said was not just an opinion...it was unfounded and racist. and as the professor, a professor of color, he crossed the line in insulting me and the other students in the classroom! That kind of "Speech" is an act of racism and it will never be tolerated in my classroom!

White Privilege

Why is it when Whites make derogatory,stereotypical, insulting dehumanizing statements about different groups of people they hide behind the first amendment?? Such cowards!!
So much for accountability and any kind of transparency....
